Hello folks!

Welcome to Gatorbone Records, home to some of Florida's finest folk artists. We are a musical family that is but a small part of the great Florida Folk tribe. We believe the work of these artists represents a vital part of the folk music being created, written and performed in the state of Florida and far beyond. Artists include Grant PeeplesThe Gatorbone BandFrank LindamoodLon WilliamsonElisabeth Williamson, Mike Lagasse, The Driftwoods, Charlie Robertson, Aaron O'RourkeKatie GeringerErik AlvarPaul GarfinkelBob PattersonJim CarrickRachel Carrick, Davis Loose, Elaine MahonJames "Tuck" TuckerDoug JerniganDan StevensThe Cicada LadiesWild ShinersHananelDoug SpearsTeresa JimenezFlagship Romance Lauren HeintzChelsea SaddlerDoug Spears, Ed "Eddie Mac" Macfarland of Tallahassee, Donna DeckerScott Dalziel, Sharon and Dan Pillen better known as "Third Born Lefties" and Michelle Ingraham.

It's been another amazing year here at Gatorbone Records and there is a lot to celebrate! We are truly dazzled by the work being created by these talented singer-songwriters and composers. We are delighted to welcome our new artists to our label, though they are no strangers to the Florida music scene... Mike Lagasse, Davis Loose and Charlie Robertson

More about these fellows in a moment but first... a new release by Flagship Romance has hit the airwaves! Their recent move to the west has brought some new colors into their musical path and it is beautiful. "Concentric" is a rich and thoughtful musical tapestry filled with new sounds and songs from this remarkable musical couple.

Mike Lagasse's release of "White Sands" is an enchanting collection of folk songs and instrumentals including many originals and some covers too of such notable songwriters as Don Oja- Dunaway. Mike does the lion's share of singing and picking on this recording and it is a great showcase of his many talents.

Davis Loose along with his band The Loose Cannons, released "The Next Lonesome Road" in December of 2019 containing 11 originals penned by Davis. It is solid country music with just the right torch and twang and the songwriting and singing could not be more heartfelt. This country teen sensation is making some musical waves.

Hot off the press is Charlie Robertson's new release of yet another stunning songwriters showcase of material. Stay tuned for the details!

More to come! Stay tuned as well for a new release from Chelsea Saddler this year and a debut solo recording from Gabe Valla! More Florida folk heritage projects are in the works too.

So my friends heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation once again for the support of the friends, fans and families of all of our artists. You are making dreams come true! Sincerely, Lis and Lon Williamson

Brian Smalley

Brian Smalley
Brian Smalley is a Florida guitar picker with ten crafty fingers, a variety of musical styles and multiple personalities. In his musical career, he has worked to develop a motif that he describes as the “Acoustic Novel,” replete with plot and sub-text, providing a mental landscape that is something akin to aural musical theatre. His newest project CHOSEN boasts a gaggle of talented folks who help to tell this nearly eighty minute story. Brian and (in order of appearance) Grant Peeples, Tony Macaluso, Lis Williamson, Christian Ward, Sam Pacetti, Marianne Lerbs, Jonathan Hodge & Lon Williamson offer up splendiferous performances which make this opera come to life. Set in the Florida town of Belle Glade, this pseudo murder mystery runs the gamut from the hauntingly tragic to the down-right hilarious. Lon Williamson, Lis Williamson and Brian Smalley co-produce this record which is full of ‘ear candy,’ and is particularly tasty when listened to on headphones. There’s something for everyone here, where there is a conscious effort to amalgamate many musical genres. Everything about this record is aimed toward the process of discovery, and there are many secrets hidden inside to unlock.
